:You don't need any noise emulation, in fact on a real MSX both tone and

:But then...there are several ways to Rome;
:the key-click can be used to...

Yup, I have a question about that.

On the FM-pak, it's possible to play 4-bit (PCM) samples manually,
the MSX-audio can play up till 13-bit samples manually and 4-bit ADPCM
automatically,
the MoonSound can play samples up to 16-bit automatical and manually (?),
and finally, SIMPL (Covox) can play 8-bit samples manually.

I'm busy writing a driver to play -in theory- any kind of samples
(frequency/nr. of bits) for these devices, for I need a decent driver for
the samples in my game in development.

Anyway, I'd like to have the possibility to play the samples on the PSG too.
I knew it was possible, for some games use(d) voices, like in Snake-it and
Oh-shit. Also, there is some sample-player which can play samples via the
Covox and via the "monitor". I guess that "monitor" is generated via the
PSG, and I've heard rumours about the PSG being able of replaying 4-bit
samples. Now my question:

=== How to replay samples via the PSG??? ===

Or what else do I have to use. The key-click? The key-click would generate a
1-bit sample... not really good. Even on a high frequenty.

Well, that's my question, actually.
