Hi Gabriel,

Yes there is. It is indeed possible to make barcodes which contain
characters, but I almost dare not say how you can do this ;-)

If you have a PC and WordPerfect 6.x (sorry I don't remember the exact
number) it is possible to create a barcode that contains characters.
It is an option in one of the (many) menus (something like 'insert
barcode'). If you can't find it (the WordPerfect version I mean),
please let me know, as I also have another program that lets you
create barcodes (some German shareware programm). I'm afraid I cannot
help you any further with WordPerfect, because I don't have it myself.

PS. If you have an older FD (FD#22/23 if memory serves) then try
reading a barcode if you're in the main menu and watch what happens
;-)
