The code is almost bug-free. The one problem is when you own an OLD
harddisk
and have marked some clusters BAD, Improve thinks your fat is incorrect and
tells you to run chkdsk.
I have had some crashes while running Improve. In my opinion these were
caused by inferior equiptment (does the brand Miniscribe ring a bell?).
When
I switched to new harddisks I never had any problems again. But it seems
other people do have problems, so use with caution.
The program is usefull too. My bulletin board tends to create many small
files, and constantly updates big files that thus get fragmented (badly). I
really NEED to run Improve once in a while..
ps. is Xelasoft currently developing something for MSX ?
