MSX is fast enough for those kind of simple tasks.

You'll need:
- info on the MIDI interface you're planning to use:
  That's probably the Music Module or the turbo R MIDI.
  I think I have some docs on turbo R MIDI from Takamichi.
- info on how to read the keyboard:
  I think this info is in the OPL1 datasheets.
  If you don't have those, I can look it up for you.
