I think so. My Master System has a real ay-3-8910 inside.

Well ..... SNxxxxxx and AY-3-891x ar both made by Texas Instruments.
And, I remember .... I think there was an equivalent of AY-3-8910 named as
SNxxxxxx, but it wasn't SN67489A, but something like this.
