Oops, here's where the trouble gets in.
Does the disk turn if you type 'files'+chr$(13) ?
Have you tried a low-level disk program (fonito or whatever) and try
to read track 40+ or so? The least it should do is move over there. Also try
formatting a disk.

It could be anything really, but my bet would be on the drive. Best
thing to try is another drive, but I believe the 8245 has a non-standard
connector. There are ways to connect a pc-drive though (it was discussed
here some time ago).
I don't have any information about the 8245 drive, so I can't give
you any ideas to look for on the drive itself. Maybe someone else knows more
about this.
