The AY-3-9810A is only the PSG, the sound chip... (which also handles the

Aha. Were those Double Sided or Single Sided disks?

That is probably not the problem, since the drive scans the disk.

Don't do that. It's probably not necessary.

As Grauw said: yeah on fairs, and new ones can be bought for Ademir.

That is probably the problem: your drive indeed only supports Single Sided 
disks, and the disk you used might have been Double Sided! Try to format a 
disk and then check if it works! (CALL FORMAT in BASIC)
