Alone, that's more so, with two it's a lot easier to reacquire weapons.
But (well I haven't played much alone so you know better) even alone it
shouldn't be that hard. After all, when you have say 2 speeds + a laser
and/or one option, you can already survive with reasonable chances. At
least if your starting from a level's beginning. The end halves will be
more difficult to get started from...

Was the part before the Dark Zone so bad? The Dark Zone itself may be
especially if you've too many speeds (that's where I died when playing
alone).

Well not any emulator. FMSX doesn't have save, neither any other I've
seen (one had it "under construction"...). Gotta keep looking.
