It's less work than writing...

So, if I would send my article in English only, you won't complain?

I don't think this is a good idea. The English part would be half a
magazine. I think you should send a signal that you take non-Dutch readers
seriously and make everything available in English.

The author doesn't necessarily have to be the one who writes the English
translation. I would be willing to translate a few articles from Dutch
to English. Not too many articles, but if more people offer their services,
one or two translations per person would be enough.

Of course, first things first. But maybe you can let different people work
on articles and on webtech, so they are working in parallel?

Just like scientific articles...

You can hyperlink the "1" in the text to the reference below the text. Very
convenient. Example in HTML:

===

(article body)
...blah, look in the FAQ [1] for details, blah...

...

References:

[1]

The Ultimate MSX FAQ.
http://www.faq.msxnet.org/

===

Actually, since you can link to references, you don't need to use numbers
anymore. You could simply replace the "1" above by "FAQ".

Well, if you ask authors to send plain text, doesn't that imply they
shouldn't layout?

Anyway, I think it's best to let the MCCW team do the layout. That will
guarantee that all articles use the same layout.

You could make some guidelines for images. Which formats do you accept and
how large can they be? What color will the background be?

Hey, maybe you can make a deal with FutureDisk or XSW so they can spread
the articles of MCCW to MSXers without web access?

Bye,
