Patriek Lesparre doesn't realize the position he is in.
He is kind of a small Billy Gates (but not rich and famous). Let me
explain before we have another ridiculus discussion: The MSX-scene knows
TNI, and if you ask a random (MSX-)Ordinary Joe to name who is behind
TNI, they will all tell you that it is Patriek, since he profiled
himself always as leader and initiatife taker, as the man behind TNI.
But, just like Billy Boy is well known, and as he has been called
leader-of-the-pack, his involvement is limited. We all know the Windo$
range of OS and they all have a rather great set of bugs, some are rare
to trigger others aren't. If one of our windo$ machines crashes we blame
Bill, even if he didn't write the stuff himself. Since P.L. has the same
relationship with TNI, every product ever planned using the flag of TNI
as a group will thus reflect directly upon P.L. So for every non
finished TNI product not-insiders will blame P.L.
That's the disadvantage of being the PR-man of TNI. And he will have to
life with it. If a project is sucsesfull it will also sine on him and
not on the real programmer. This is one of those knifes which cut on
both sides !

You make us all very curious now, you know!

Problem is that if we don't know wat it is going to be .. that makes us
non-believers-of-exactly-what ???

We only saw part of what was going on. Jon just described the part that
we saw, and the conclusions we drew from it at the end. He put it rather
bluntly from time to time, that I will acknowledge.

Listen, the PB clone is failed project. The game kernel is finished, it
is way to configurable too quickly make an editor for it. Somehow
somehere it all went wrong, and I don't think anybody can pinpoint the
exact cause and time, but it just escalated. Frankly, I don't care
anymore neither. Shevek proposed to work on it, I send him the code and
he never did anything with it as far as I know. Maybe he also concluded
that it was way to complex to make an editor for it

Hereby, in public:
IF ANYBODY IS INTERESTED IN TAKING OVER THE PB CLONE PROJECT, I WILL
GIVE THE SOURCE TO ANYONE WHO WANTS IT !! (under GPL licensing ofcourse
:-)

Not that I know.

Don't rise expectations by others for things that never may appear is
maybe something we all have to learn.

This mail is public and send to list because of the made announcement:
you can get it,the code, if you really want (this reminds me of a song
:-)
