It's in a socket, yes.
I heard about a Z80 which runs up till 20 MHz...??? How to use it?
I don't know much about clock chrystals...
And the timing of the several devices... I think there should be some kind
of 'engine' which is between the processor IOREQ pins and the databus, and
monitors all I/O operations. It has a minimum wait time defined for every
port, and when another access is done too fast, it sends a signal to the
CPU's WAIT pin... Like the turboR does (doesn't it?)
Also nice: a small buffer! So it can for example buffer up to five
sent-too-fast bytes...
