Sorry, I didn't read the whole article. Yes, it has DIP-switches, but
also you can define a I/O-port with which you can switch through
software. ( out &H3F,3 = switch to slot 3)

But, the slotswitcher is still not a expander in the sense of the MSX
standard: It is only a primairy slot. 

In order to be a expanded MSX slot, you would have to catch writes to
the address FFFFh, or -1, and use this information (per 16K block) together 
with adresslines A0..A13, to enable the subslots.

I don't know how difficult this is to put in it!
