Yes there is! Sean Young discovered this.
The Panasonic FM-PAC's I/O ports are disabled by default. Normally you
enable them with a memory write, but you can also leave them disabled
and control the FM-PAC's OPLL through memory writes. Look at www.msxnet.org
(Sean's site), maybe the info is there (I'm not sure though).
