Well, you are lucky too then ;-)

Thanks.

It says: Yamaha 32K RAM/EXP. Slot unit. SRE-01. On one side you have the 60
pin connector, on the other side a Expansion Slot Unit (a normal 50 pin msx
cartridge slot)

Is it possible to dump the rom and and burn it in a eprom? I have a MT
cardbase cartridge. I've heard once that you can use this cartridge to
replace the eprom with msx-dos.

Well it seems to me that I need such a keyboard to get any sound out of it.
On the cartridge there are 2 audio connectors, I've plugged them in my
monitor but whatever I try in the build in program, I don't hear any sound.
How do I
get some sound without the keyboard? Are there some keystrokes I can try?
If I want to control the module through midi from my pc, I probably need the
cartridge program.
Maybe there is a way to dump the cartridge program and load it from the ss
diskdrive? Or does the 'YRM-502 FM Voicing Program II' cartridge also has
some special hardware inside?

Maybe I can use loadrom from trunks if I have the Voicing program romdump?
However, if I want to loadrom for a 32kb rom, I need more ram in the MSX1
than the standard 32KB. Are there any normal memory expansion modules for
MSX1 that I can buy?)

Well, if you find one in the land of the rising sun, please mail me. I
really want to experiment and play with this module.

I only see a CAS option in the [BALANCE] menu. Are there more menu's than
the one you see when you active the program?

Or you can relocate your FAQ somewhere else and ask Sean to change the url
pointer ;-) If you want I can make a faq.msx.org or www.faq.msx.org pointer
to your page.

Well, It seems to me that I need some extra stuff (Hardware/software) to
actually use this very nice piece of hardware. If you or anyone else could
supply me with this, I would be very gratefull.

Another question: the music keyboard looks like the same connector a Philips
Music Module keyboard uses (or that other opl2 -toshiba/panasonic?-
soundcartridge keyboard). Are those keyboards pin compatible? Probably not.

Well, up to the next flee market then ;-)

Maybe someone in Holland is willing to produce such a cable for a nice
price?
Mail me!

Thanks Manuel!
