FM emulation (any kind) using PCM is not a simple "emulation" problem.
It's not just the problem of "do the same thing with another hardware".
Is a problem of recreate a kind of wave generated by a processor (with
a very scarce documentation on HOW this processor generates that sound)
and *then* make another hardware play that sound.
It's non-trivial and requires some atention to emulation timing,
since this sound emulation need to run in multitask or in a tiny
timeslice, also.
In the case of YM2413, we do not even know what are the exact parameters
for the predefined internal sounds... Even it someone knows, there are
lots of information needed and unknown at this time.
