I understand what you mean. But I think it's just the enthusiasm (?) of the
developer who likes
to share his latest creations with us. Back in the time -we- MSX'ers all
tried to create something, whether it was music, gfx, code, etc., everybody
was willing to see everything and give nice feedback. I remember loads of
demodisks and magazines which did not really had any content, but we all
bought those disks for 5 to 10 guilders. Just to show our appreciation.
Nowadays you seem to have to make something that can at least compete with a
professional production, otherwise it is not much according to the
"community". It is that attitude that broke down MSX far too much already.
Let's just cheer to all new initiatives, crappy or awesome... MSX'ers are
hobbyists, lovers of the system, amateurs and pro's. I like them all! Let's
all do so!
