        Maico Arts told me that BERT and Novaxis are incompatible, and
that BERT uses a different mapper application (called swap.com).
        I think that MAK and Novaxis are compatible, since in the source
of MAP 0.9 there is reference to the MAK partitioning scheme (but it is
not implemented; I don't know if in MAP 1.0 or MAP 1.1 it is).
