Simple... People want to be able to unpack these files on MSX to get rid of 
the long filenames these non-msx version seems to need to create as well. 
and you can perfectly unpack an LZH file (or ARJ for that matter) by adding 
the decompressor in the WinZip configuration.

btw. what if the extracted stuff seems to be bigger than one DD-disk? you'd 
be happy to be able to unpack the archive on an msx harddisk then.

The users made ZIP a standard on pc/mac, for MSX the standard is PMA, but 
nowadays even LZH, which enables people to choose to unpack either on 
pc/mac or msx...
