What Yokoi wants is probably just an ideal he has. In my opinion, MSX
Player can be rewritten to NOT use any fMSX code and then be released under
the GPL.

This is not about emulation. It's about the right to use the name "MSX" and
the rights to the MSX standard specification.

It does. The copyright issue is not about emulators. And ofcourse, even
with emulators, the copyright of the MSX BIOS is a problem. Let's see what
Nishi and Yokoi can do to solve that...
