I've had that problem too once... I did recreate that partition for the biggest part. First thing I did as an addition was to set up the last partition as back-up for the boot partition (I only make a back-up of the boot partition, the other once aren't backed up that way). That way when the boot partition is screwed up, all I need to do is to re-initialise the boot partition and copy the backup partition back to the boot partition.Is there some program which can clean up my FAT, or perhaps the partition? Backing up, reformatting and then refilling the entire drive would cost me weeks.
Maybe you should do the same thing when you got that partition up and running again.
