After about a week none of you, maintainers, have answered to my
questions about these issues (and the other about the buggy compiler).
I don't see any logic in linking the ALT-F2 (New MinTTY instance) to the
directory where the executable, which start MinTTY, lives.
I don't see any system where the terminal has this behavior. On
GNU/Linux Mint, for example, with MATE desktop, the new instance of the
terminal use as working initial directory that of the last instance. On
other system, as macOS, the working folder is the user's HOME.
I don't any reason to continue to use, and suggest to use, this software
if you do not provide any assistance...

WORSE, when I start with another instance, ALT-F2, it default to root
directory instead of the user HOME, i.e. the prompt looks:
Are we sure that
0003-fix-current-dir-inheritance-for-alt-f2-on-msys2.patch is doing the
right things?
Usually I start MSYS2 with a link on the tool bar [*], and MinTTY starts
defaulting to the HOME (~) directory:
user@PC_name MSYS ~
$
If now I type ALT-F2, MinTTY defaults to the root directory:
user@PC_name MSYS /
$
the same occurs if, after the first start, I change directory,
cd ~/foo/bar/fio
and the ALT-F2. The new MinTTY starts always in root (/).
I think this is wrong...

[*] After MSYS2 installation, I start msys2.exe pinning it to the tool bar.
