I just starting playing with msysGit last week, and got pretty excited
about it. At some point I'm going to try to get my development group
at work to switch to it from SourceSafe. We've known we need to switch
to something else for years (duh!), but the inertia in that place is
unbelieveable.

Anyway, it looks like accessing remote Windows repositories using UNC
net drives doesn't work, so we will probably need to use git-daemon.
I'd really rather not have to install cygwin to do that though, so I'm
wondering what's going on now with the msysGit version of it. I tried
tweaking the makefile to build it, and got a bunch of syslog errors
(among other things).
