[I've recently subscribed to this mailing list, so I ask that you please
forgive any mistakes in etiquette and/or re-asking of frequently asked
questions.]
I have started an open source project for translation between
Pitjantjatjara (an Australian Aboriginal language, spoken by a few
thousand people in Central Australia) and English. I'm not a linguist or
translator (I work as a computer programmer), but working from an
introductory primer have written a prototype which can translate some 10
simple sentences. The project can be found at

I would appreciate any feedback, but in particular I have a couple of
questions for the group:
* Would anyone have the time to provide a critique of the algorithms I'm
using?
(I can post more details and/or examples to this list if that would help.)
* What (in your experience) is the most useful interface for MT software
(web-based, separate application, "helper" embedded in word processor,
etc.)?
