Translation Summer School

We are delighted to announce the 7th International Translation Summer
School "SummerTrans VII", to be held at the University of Innsbruck
(Austria), 11 - 20 July, 2016.
Addressing anyone with an interest in translation, particularly student
translators, professional translators and translation
researchers/trainers, SummerTrans VII will feature, among others, three
hands-on workshops on translation technology:
1) Machine Translation for Translators: Taking Advantage of the New
Technology (Nora Aranberri)
2) Pre- and Post-Editing as Parameters of Translation Quality (Gyde Hansen)
3) Computer-Assisted Translation (Alexander Muntyan)
The remaining courses focus on both practical and theoretical issues in
translation and interpreting. In addition, a PhD school will take place
as a discussion forum for aspiring researchers in both human and machine
translation. No less important, the daily social programme will offer a
series of cultural, scientific and leisure activities.
