Could you maybe try to time a simple ls to get a first hint if it is FS related. $ time ls -R1 ~/Maildir
Well, why not test this... On my MBP 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo with 4 GB of RAM and an OCZ vertex SSD, I created a 10 MB file I split in to 100.000 100 byte pieces => ls -1 takes about 5 seconds 1.000.000 10 byte pieces => ls -1 takes about 56 seconds Talk about consistency in performance :) @Dirk How does mu check the file date? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "mu-discuss" group.
