Agree with most of what you say but the last line. There seems to be a
difference of opinion on "criticism". I generally am a positive sort of
bloke, for me the glass is always half full (although this can catch you out
near closing time!) So my criticism will differ from others - but to say
"some people on this list wouldn't sanction
criticism no matter how bad the team got" seems to be a little like "awww
thats just pc crap" or belittling other's criticism in total.

And a life time supporter? Of course, you don't go changing bleedin teams
halfway through your life, I'd have (if it were possible) less respect for a
turncoat City supporter who changed to the Red side cos he finally realised
he'd been cheated by god and geography! And besides with my bloody big
tattoo I'd have to pretend I was a devil worshipper or Belgium
supporter -and my sons Duncan, Ryan and daughter Alex? (I won't mention our
dog Cantona :). My reaction to some of the criticism is "oh great - so lets
sell 10 -20 players every bleedin season and see where that gets us?!" The
one comment that always gets me going (like fingernails on a blackboard), is
the "not fit to wear the Red shirt". Is it just me or what? I do totally
agree with the family comparison - although I do think that the family has
faces and personalities - not just a big bland family. And there are newer
members of the this family whom I have a hard time seeing leave the nest as
well.
