Naaaa, Wes was a bit shaky today, so was Mikky!, but over the season so far he has been excellent. Larry's few brief cameo appearances have been mini-disasters (which explains why they've been both few and brief!). However, I wouldn't be too adverse to seing how John O does alongside Rio. I think the kid's been a bit unlucky to be benched. But Wes will do for me too. > Boo Giggsy if he doesn't try, fine, but to do > it before he's even on the pitch is pointless and stupid. There was some booing as Giggsy warmed up but it wasn't aimed at him. There was some deadball situation going on down the pitch that had upset the crowd but the TV focused on Giggsy while the booing was going on. In fact, Ryan got a great reception today and I think he worked his socks off for 45 minutes and, more importantly, with some success. He's doing his best and today it was good enough. If nothing else, it enabled us to line up as 442 with two wingers (yes, I'm including you here, Becks!) > You can't help being in bad form (look at Ruud), but > you can help not trying as hard as is possible. Giggsy tried hard today, but I certainly accept the point about Ruud, and I made the same point myself last week. He isn't sharp enough at the moment. He was great against Portsmouth with acres of space to hold the ball up in and winning headers all the time. But against better opposition, he is not nearly so successful. Desailly had a fairly easy time today taking care of Ruud but screwed up when Diego came on because we stopped lobbing useless balls upfield straight to the Chelsea defenders. Ruud's certainly having a more difficult time in the PL this season but he's still knocking them in in Europe ... for which we are truly grateful. Anyway, at this particular moment, I feel well disposed to the world in general (except, City, Leeds, Liverpool, Arsenal, ... cont'd on p.93) Terry Subscription info WWW http://red11.org/list Reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] = subscribe to the list.
