I think you could be right. Not in an absolute way, but if you look at the way we won both the league and the CL. Behind in both matches and coming back to win, especially against Bayern.
I think it could have had a knock-on effect, with morale low going into the Spurs match we may well have not won that match, and after that there'd be no chance of us getting the two goals in IT in Barcelona. In fact we'd have been in danger of "doing a Leverkusen" since they lost both the German Cup final, the CL final, and then lost out on the league on the last day of the season! lol Serves them right for beating us on away goals! Then again, who knows, perhaps the fact that he saved the pen increased our confidence to win that match and hurt Arsenal's. Maybe if Phil hadn't given the pen away in the first place we'd have lost? Another thing that I've only just realised today was the lack of Roy Keane in all those mathes - sent off against Arsenal, injured against Newcastle and suspended against Bayern. Strange considering he's maybe our most influential player. And all the winning goals were scored by subs, but I'm sure everyone already knew that if they've watched the Treble video. :-) Ed --- In [EMAIL PROTECTED], "Ryan, John" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > But something that struck me is this.
