I honestly believe that Uniteds biggest problem at the moment is the
fact that we lack players that can beat a man in a one on one. We have
got fantastic passers of the ball but since giggs isn't firing on all
cylinders we are lacking that dimension to our game.
Also the reason I think that diego and o'shea have made such impacts is
down to the fact that they show the ability to beat a man..While also
putting in fantastic performances..someone made the comment recently
that forlan gets cheered more than Beckham. David Beckham is a great
passer of the ball but he freely admits himself isn't the best in one on
ones. I also think we lack a bit of speed. I believe that the reason we
are doing so well in Europe is because European games are a lot slower
and teams are cut apart with passing movements, blistering speed is not
as important. The premiership is very fast and many teams (Liverpool,
arsenal, Newcastle) rely on blistering speed in the counter attack to
cut teams apart.
These are only my observations but I would like people comments.
