So one wonders why the gaffer doesn't start someone like Richardson in the games where we need a winger. Or if he's changing thing's up why he doesn't replace Ryan with Richardson and the 2nd striker with Ole. Which of course means he a) has to be on the bench and b) has to be used. All I can guess he was thinking with putting Ryan at left back was that if he was still on the pitch he might run the length of the field and score. Which he might, but from left back? After Giggs perfrormance agsint Juve I might buy that Ryan is getting better as a deep striker. Maybe with many, many hours of shooting practice he'll get even better. But if that's Ryan's future then we need another winger. And that doesn't mean Ole. Which means we need to find out if Richardson or Chadwick are good enough or we need to look for someone like Dyer.
