The CL is not a place for youngsters in the back four.
Maccabi is an example.

I don't include either midfielder you name, as they
may be needed in their natural position, Keanes
fitness cannot be guaranteed, Kleberson is not yet
a United player. I make it 5 established defenders.

Take 2 key defenders out, Rio and Silvestre for
instance. Ruud can score plenty but without decent
cover at the back his work will be wasted.

You keep banging on about luck. Did we lose to them
in 2000 by luck as well? Have we falled short every
season in the CL since 1999 due to 'bad luck'?

Unless we address the defensive cover we may be
handicapped in the Premiership too.
