Nottingham Forest have completed the loan signing of Manchester United midfielder Michael Stewart. The 22-year-old Scotland international will spend the season at the City Ground, having rejected a similar approach from Forest's Division One rivals Burnley. Stewart said: "I regard this is a great opportunity for me. Sir Alex Ferguson told me he wanted me to go out on loan for a season and get some first-team experience in the hope of furthering my career at United in the long run." A product of the Old Trafford youth system, Stewart has made 14 first-team appearances and has three Scotland caps to his name. [ ananova ] E-Mail Disclaimer: http://www.altron.co.za/email.asp
