Actually Mark I think it's an awful system. For every 6-2 win we've
managed with it there's been 5 matches where we've struggled to ever
have a shot on goal and needed to switch to a more conventional
format.

If two defensive midfielders is so great, why did Real wipe the floor
with us? In the second leg we more than outplayed them by going at
them. Two defensive midfielders means very little coming through the
middle. Joaquin would alleviate this a bit and give us width, but
with only one striker everything but the best crosses will be cut out
by decent defending.

Anyway, there's no point arguing about formation as even people who
attend the recent matches can't decide what formation we play, which
I think says quite a lot.
