Do they need to be the biggest spenders to attempt to purchase a Premiership? Not so. I stated; "How many times has Chelsea attempted to buy their glory and how many times have they been successful?" They have been the last-stop saloon for several seasons now, and on more than one occassion have been branded as 'title contenders' with their Who's-Who lineups. But history has shown that they have been wholly unsuccessful in attempts to mold a team with staying power. If you want a list of who they've bought and when, look it up - the internet is a wonderful tool for finding information on just about anything. By the way, I notice you've deftly sidestepped the issue concerning your wholesale lack of faith in Alex Ferguson's transfer dealings, team selections, formation, and tactics, and addressed only the part that you can argue about.
