How else are they "buying their glory" if not buy spending a lot of money? Otherwise every team is constantly trying to buy glory whenever they sign anyone or even pay their wages. > By the way, I notice you've deftly sidestepped the issue concerning > your wholesale lack of faith in Alex Ferguson's transfer dealings, > team selections, formation, and tactics, and addressed only the >part that you can argue about. Nice one > Glory, glory > -Pete I didn't (nor will I) sidestep anything. Why is it a "lack of faith" if I question anything Fergie does? Are we all supposed to blindly accept that whatever happens is perfect, and no-one made any mistakes whatsoever? I don't know who conducts the transfer dealings, but whoever does needs a swift kick between the legs. We've managed to sell our best asset for far less than we could have got, and failed to sign a replacement through ineptitude. I don't know about you, but the money I pay to go to matches, or buy shirts paying the wages for someone to cock-up their job makes me angry. The possibility that we won't win the title next season BECAUSE we've sold players we needed without replacements being bought annoys me too. The fact that any tactic other than 4-4-2 has been shown to be inferior yet we insist on playing it annoys me as well, but maybe it'll start working consistently this season. I suppose Manchester United, I don't support Alex Ferguson, he just happens to work for them. It's funny how people are roundly derided for supporting David Beckham in whatever he does, yet we're supposed to all nod in agreement whatever Fergie does. If you think that our team is stronger now than it was at the end of last season, then feel free to have total confidence in our ability to retain the title and push for other trophies. In my opinion our squad is now weaker with signs of getting weaker still, and for some reason no-one else seems to care. Hope that answers your question. Ed ------------------------ Yahoo!
