What, one or two FA Cups and a Cup Winner's Cup to their trophy stash! Money buys you jack-shit if you're buying a bunch of prima-donnas who are each too self-important to work with one another. No, I would worry not a jot about Chelsea and all their bizillions.
As for the never-ending Ed-thread, again you are living in the world of IF. Veron has not left, has signed for no one, and even IF he does go we won't know what happens for a few months' time. All yer headless chicken-little skits do nothing for us but force us to reach for Panadol. IF you have no faith in Alex Ferguson or Manchester United Football Club, then just quietly fuck off. The record of this great club speaks for itself, and one player has NEVER made the difference between glory and relegation (OK, except for Denis Law), especially in the past decade. Since you're only with us for a few short months, I would suggest you save your breath and go purchase a copy of "The History of Manchester United" or "The Premiership Years" or "The Treble" on Video or DVD, sit down, and watch it 3 or 4 times, writing down all the names of those who came and those who went. But there's been one important constant in the past 16-17 years, Alex Ferguson. He was on the brink of getting the sack, spurned on by the shithead press and nay-sayers and know-nowts (a Euro to Mr. Hargreaves for copyright use) who called themselves 'fans'; but he hung on, built HIS team with several revisions by now, but once he started winning silver he hasn't stopped. I can't see his streak coming to a complete halt over 1 or 2 players who didn't give their all to the cause in the end. Glory, Glory -Pete ------------------------ Yahoo!
