Ruud got a deserved yellow for kicking Vieira but I don't really see what he did wrong when Vieira kicked out. He got out of the way, asked the referee "what the hell is going on here?" and Vieira got the road.
Roy Keane tried to calm things down, spoke to Patrick Vieira in an effort to calm him, and when interviewed on SKY said he had "no comment" to make regarding the madness that ensued. Arsene Wenger accused Ruud of cheating (even though Pires took an olympic dive V's Portsmouth and Ruud did NOT dive yesterday) and really left himself down. Alex Ferguson would not comment on Arsenal's behaviour, but he only spoke to defend Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Ruud ran down the tunnel to avoid any further problems. In short I was proud of our lads & how they handled the situation. As Alan Smith (ex-Arsenal) said in commentary, we have had disciplinary trouble in the past e.g. the Andy D'Urso incident, but we've sorted that out. What can you say about Arsenal?
