Lads-
Was I the only one screaming at the telly, or did Giggs have an
off night? His distribution was sub-par for long periods of the
match, though he still ran his socks off when the ball was pushed
down the left flank, so I don't think his "bout of flu" was that big
a contibuting factor.
I think the Neville brothers could share MOTM honours, and their
interplay was refreshing - even the RTE commentators had a laugh over
the "Neville-to-Neville...back to Neville" etc. They certainly bossed
the right side, hence McLeish moving the left-footed Lovenkrands to
the right side to avoid them and try to take advantage of JO'S and
his recent dip in form. And speaking of which, did anyone pick up on
the Rangers fan in the background when John-O was getting booked?
Running his finger across his throat as if to tell John he was a dead
man. Just solidified the world's impression that the huns fans are
just a bunch of thugs and dim twats!
And finally, a word to the travelling fans - you were in great
voice last night and left the baffled and befuddled home crowd with
no comeback other than to boo Keane and John-O every time they
touched the ball. Well done!
