Hi,

I am more than slightly concerned by the presence of the .la and .a 
files in the new plugin packages.

Also, since the plugins add no new dependencies (as far as I can tell) 
it seems unnecessary to have so many plugin packages instead of folding 
them all together into a single package putting the plugins into a 
plugin directory instead of /usr/lib.

Of course, I might be missing something; if so, please let me know.
