[Multisync-users] Installation problem

Hello folks

I am having a problem installing multisync and the evolution plug-in. I am running RedHat 9 with Ximian Desktop 2, Evolution 1.4.

On multisync - what is the difference between the multisync-0.80-1.tar.gz and multisync-0.80gnome1.tar.gz distributions? Is the first for gnome 2? I couldn't find anything on the site that explained these two packages.

On the evolution plug-in - I receive an error message during make:
grep: /usr/lib/liblinc.la: No such file or directory. I have read in the message archives where people have seen slightly different errors, but also ending in .la, with the advice given that they need to install the corresponding development package. I have no idea what that would be in this case.

Any help appreciated.
