I appreciate the information and the suggestion. I prefer to install from source than from RPM, but that's just a personal thing.
I did subsequently attempt to install the evo plug-in from RPM. However, I get the following error:
libgal-2.0.so.3 is needed by multisync-evolution-0.80-1
Any suggestions where I might find such a library?

Anyway, a development package for RPM-based Linux distributions is usually an RPM with the same name plus the suffix "-devel", so for the "evolution" package, that would be "evolution-devel".
