Tom,

Does this mean that the plugin maintains local database information? Does xml support timestamps maintained within the record? It appears if .vcf does support timestamps.

The Opie plugin looks at the contents of the fields that are synced to
detect changes. However, if you start with a contact in both databases
and then sync you will end up with duplicates. Once you have everything
syncing with no duplicates then nothing should duplicate if you stick
with the same sync pair, unless you modify data in both databases
simultaneously.

All,

I have a syncronazation question between zaurus xml format and
evolution db format. Each seem to have thier own independent format for
unique id's. Multisync must be comparing at the detail record level.
What does it use to determine uniqueness between these two data types??

I have been attempting to install and sync between a Zaurus and an
Evolution instance on a laptop. On several occations I have ended up
with full duplicates. On the last attempt, by reseting the Zaurus to
empty databases, was successfull at creating uniqueness between Zaurus
and my laptop. Now I am attempting to sync the laptop evolution to a
deskside as well. This should work if I clear the deskside to an empty
evolution instance and let multisync 'clone' the laptop data??

Thanks,
Dan
