It looks like MultiSync should work with all of your devices, but there
isn't much we can do with Mozilla/Thurderbird yet, especially running on
WinXP. The only synchronization you will get there is to do what you
suggested - keep your contacts in LDAP and sync them that way.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Multisync does not (yet) handle
the concept of "sync groups". In other words, it syncs on pair, then
syncs then next pair, etc. You will run in to problems if you modify the
same piece of data on plugins not in the same sync pair. Usually it is
best to create one plugin in common (Evolution for me) so that
everything syncs back to it to try and reduce conflicts.
