I am having the same problem as Dominik with Multisync 0.82. During configure I get this: checking for baswap in -lbluetooth... yes checking for sdp_list_free in -lsdp... no checking for correct SDP lib version... yes Bluetooth is DISABLED. You must have bluez-libs and bluez-kernel >= 2.3 and bluez-sdp >= 1.0-pre1.
I have kernel 2.6.6 with mh2 applied. bluez-libs and bluez-utils are both 2.7. Tom asked "Could you supply the relevant part of config.log where the check for sdp_list_free in -lsdp fails?", so here is mine (hope it formats correctrly): configure:4308: checking for sdp_list_free in -lsdp configure:4339: gcc -o conftest -g -O2 -DORBIT2=1 -pthread -I/usr/include/libgnomeui-2.0 -I/usr/include/libgnome-2.0 -I/usr/include/libgnomecanvas-2.0 -I/usr/include/g tk-2.0 -I/usr/include/libart-2.0 -I/usr/include/gconf/2 -I/usr/include/libbonoboui-2.0 -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include/orbit-2.0 -I/ usr/include/libbonobo-2.0 -I/usr/include/gnome-vfs-2.0 -I/usr/lib/gnome-vfs-2.0/include -I/usr/include/bonobo-activation-2.0 -I/usr/include/pango-1.0 -I/usr/include/fr eetype2 -I/usr/lib/gtk-2.0/include -I/usr/X11R6/include -I/usr/include/atk-1.0 -I/usr/include/libxml2 conftest.c -lsdp >&5 /tmp/ccqp9oVp.o(.text+0xa): In function `main': /usr/tmp/portage/multisync-0.82/work/multisync-0.82/plugins/irmc_sync/configure:4337: undefined reference to `sdp_list_free' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status configure:4342: $? = 1 configure: failed program was: | #line 4315 "configure" | /* confdefs.h. */ | | #define PACKAGE_NAME "" | #define PACKAGE_TARNAME "" | #define PACKAGE_VERSION "" | #define PACKAGE_STRING "" | #define PACKAGE_BUGREPORT "" | #define PACKAGE "irmc_sync" | #define VERSION "0.82" | #define STDC_HEADERS 1 | /* end confdefs.h. */ | | /* Override any gcc2 internal prototype to avoid an error. */ | #ifdef __cplusplus | extern "C" | #endif | /* We use char because int might match the return type of a gcc2 | builtin and then its argument prototype would still apply. */ | char sdp_list_free (); | int | main () | { | sdp_list_free (); | ;| return 0; | } configure:4360: result: no Bluez is working fine - I can use multisync to sync with my phone using the 'cable' option and using a bound rfcomm port, it's just that the bluetooth option is out available as a Connection Type.
