This is a well known issue - you're not setting a DNS host for this
connection that will respond to the P900's request to get an IP address
for mrouter.  You have to set up bind on your system to respond with the
correct address for this so that it will be happy to maintain the link. 
Otherwise it keeps trying for 2 minutes and then drops the link.  I've
had this working for a while with my P800, and found what I needed to
set it up on Google.  But if you need help, email me directly, and I'll
pull the README I wrote and necessary config files off my machine at
work for you.

It's little more than installing the bind9 server, adding a line to
/etc/named.conf and sticking a small text file in /var/named.  Oh, and
adding a dns server line to the PPP options script.  Not got it on this
laptop yet, though, so can't do it just now.
