Hello I have some problems when trying to sync my Evolution 2 stuff with my Pocket PC.
Here is my setup: - Linux Fedora Core 3 (Evolution 2.0.2) - HP Ipaq hx4700 - synce stuff installed from rpms - multisync and synce-multisync plugin compiled from the cvs snapshot Synce connection through bluetooth is working very well. Synchronizing with Evo2 is working more or less (less than more to be frank) The issues: 1) First Sync: during the first synch, only the contacts where appearing on my pocket pc: no tasks, no calendar. It was not as complete as I hoped: some contacts are missing (myself for instance :-) but for some transfered contacts, some fields are missing: the system kept only one email address for instance or kept only the phone number while title,organization and mail were defined in evo2 2) Modifying contact a) I did a sync with outlook on my windows box. I got all contacts but with a little embarassing something: the Full Name attribute was 3 or 4 control characters, while it's correct on the pocket pc. The first and last name attribute were ok. I modified one contact on outlook (a phone number), sync again, and the contact on the pocket pc changed: full name was now wrong and the phone number was there. Then I synched with Evo2, and there was the creation of a second contact with the modified information: wrong full name, right first and last name, right email and right phone number in my Evo2 contact list. b) I tried again a modification of a contact, but directly in the pocket pc. It seems that it works well the last time I tried. But before that I had the feeling that it created a second entry with the control character problem. c) and I modified a contact in Evo2 to see it it will go to the pocket PC. For the few I tried, it did work, it seems. 3) the big part: calendar a) event defined in outlook, sync with pocket pc, appears in the evo2 calendar, but there is a problem: recurrence is not kept, while it still there in the pocket pc. not good. c) event defined in the pocket pc appear in evo2 one hour later than the hour they were defined for b) I have one case where an event defined in evo2 was not appearing in pocket pc, but I had a warning message on windows saying that the system was not able to sync this event with outlook. So the event was really there but in a way that makes it non visible on the ipaq. Finally, by searching in Pocket Informant, I was able to find it: and its date and hour were wrong: 31 Dec. 2027 from 0h to 0h (the event was defined for yesterday evening). That's all for the moment. I started since 2 days to use multisync in debug mode, and saving all err output.
