Sorry guys, I realise this may be redundant but I really am trying and
googling for everything before asking.

I've just reinstalled the latest 0.82 CVS from the soureforge website,
followed all the instructions, including turning on the debug output.
The syncengine and all plugins compiled and installed fine, make install
being done as su (on debian/ubuntu) in each case. Now when I try to run
multisync as user I get what is listed below and then it just hangs.
When I try to run it as su it will start fine but obviously not find the
evolution databases. What, if anything have I done wrong? How might I
fix it so it will run properly as user.

I've cleaned the whole system, reinstalled a few times, tried changing
any number of file permissions and ownerships but still now luck.

The help is appreciated and I will happily write a draft howto for
Debian/ubuntu if/when I get it working! :-)

so multisync is not starting at all (no windows is opened)?

try to remove the socket in tmp /tmp/multisync-$USERNAME if it exists

Thanks

Jim
