I just downloaded openobex 1.0.1, configure'd with --prefix=/usr, make,
make install, run configure in irmc plugin directory no errors, built it
with make and installed it. I have no way of testing it, but it looks
file to me.

I would download openobex source and build and install it your self,
using --prefix=/usr and then run ldconfig after.

Let me know if it works.

Also I did not patch this plug in at all.
