I am opening new instances of Excel ( using COM Interop) from my
Winforms application (C#) and later even after I close all the Excel files
which I had opened from the application, I still find one Excel process still
running in the Task Manager.... Don't understand why ??? I have used the
following code to close the excel process :
while(Marshal.ReleaseComObject(objExcelSheets)>0){}
objExcelSheets = null;
while(Marshal.ReleaseComObject(objExcelWorkbook)>0){}
objExcelWorkbook = null;
while(Marshal.ReleaseComObject(objExcelApplication)>0){}
objExcelApplication = null;
GC.Collect();
GC.WaitForPendingFinalizers();
GC.Collect();
As I had already mentioned, I find one Excel process still running in the Task
Manager and it goes off only when I exit from the Winforms Application.
My Question is : How do I fully close all the instances of the Excel process.
Thanks in Advance ...
