Thanks for the reply Kunal. I had already used this in my query
(appending the unicode text with letter 'N'). The data isnow getting stored as
boxes instead of ???. Also I am able to retrieve the text from the database
without any loss and view it in browser. I was just wondering if I could look
at the actual japanese characters in the database (using enterprise manager and
SQL query analyser). As per Suarabh's (saush11) reply we need to re-install
SQL server 2000 as a multibyte database. Will this help me to see the japanese
characters in SQL Ent. manager and query Analyzer? Please do let me know if
you have any answers to my question. Thanks, Bhavin
